# Zendesk + Lutril: setup guide

> Zendesk connects through OAuth with read and write access. You enter your Zendesk subdomain, then authorize the Lutril app. An API token is supported as a manual fallback.

## Setup

1. In Lutril, open Settings → Integrations, select Zendesk, and enter your subdomain (the part before .zendesk.com).
2. Click Connect; you are redirected to Zendesk to authorize the Lutril app with read and write access.
3. Click Allow; Zendesk redirects you back to Lutril and the connection is established.
4. Fallback: in Zendesk Admin Center → Apps and integrations → APIs → Zendesk API, enable Token access and Add API token.
5. Then paste your admin email and the API token into Lutril’s manual fields.

- read (read users and organizations)
- write (provision and update users)
